Cobblers Dream Wins the Coral Lanzarote Handicap Hurdle at Kempton
A fantastic day for the team on Saturday when Cobblers Dream won the competitive Coral Lanzarote handicap hurdle (Listed) race at Kempton.
Cobblers Dream was up at the front all of the way under a great ride from Jack Quinlan and ran on well to win by 5 lengths in what turned out to be an eventful race. With Coral increasing the prize money this year to £100K they were rightly rewarded with a full field and a competitive race.
It is great to have a big Saturday winner for our small team and delighted that it is for owner Lady Jane Grosvenor who has been a huge supporter of ours from the beginning. A good find by our bloodstock agents Kevin and Anna Ross at the Cheltenham sale last April. He was quite a ‘buzzy’ horse when he arrived - hence the application of the hood - but Danny Hannig our Head Lad has done a great job at home to get him settled.
He has now won three times over hurdles and although he is still a novice he is very professional and hopefully there is more to come from him before he goes chasing next season. We will see what the handicapper does before making any decisions as to where he runs next but there are options at Cheltenham, Aintree and Punchestown.
