End of 2020/2021 Season
We have come to the end of the 2020/2021 Season.and we finished the season with 14 winners, 11 seconds, 20 thirds and 14 fourths, with well over half our runners being placed and earning all important prize money.
A huge thank you must go to our amazing owners who have been so supportive and loyal throughout these very testing times when they were unable to go racing and couldn’t even visit the yard to see their horses. Fingers crossed things are beginning to improve and its good to welcome owners back to the yard and to the racecourse.
Our team of staff at home also deserve a big thank you for keeping the show on the road behind the scenes, without their hardwork and dedication getting the horses to the races would not be possible - so thank you team for your tremendous hard work.
Thank you also to the jockeys who have ridden winners for us throughout the year, Kielan Woods, Bryan Carver, Daryl Jacob, Harry Bannister, Jack Andrews, Jack Quinlan and Charlie Case.
Our team of horses winning this season were Shanty Alley with 2 wins, coming at Doncaster and Uttoxeter, both under Bryan Carver. Shanty has not been out of the first 3 in all his runs this season and has gone from a rating of 106 to 132 so there is lots to look forward to for next season.
Fern Hill is a lovely horse for the future and he provided us with 2 wins both at Wetherby, one under Kielan Woods and one with Jack Quinlan.
Midnightreflection also secured 2 wins both for Bryan Carver at Wetherby and Plumpton.
The Golden Rebel was a new recruit and he won on stable debut at Doncaster given a great front running ride by Jack Andrews.
Conceroe won a competive bumper at Warwick and went on to run very well on his other starts. He will now go hurdling and is an exciting horse.
Dash of Blue won well at Southwell under Daryl Jacob.
Princess Roxy defied a long spell on the sidelines to win over fences at Fakenham under Harry Bannister, she has now been retired and is in foal to Nathaniel, so fingers crossed we will see her progeny on the racecourse in a few years time.
Kilbrew Boy provided us with a win at Wincanton under Charlie Case, who won the same race the previous year too.
Kings Temptation had a fantastic season winning on 3 occassions all at Uttoxeter under Kielan Woods and Bryan Carver. We were desperately sad to lose him at Cheltenham and he will be sorely missed by us all.
Most of the horses are now being eased down for their summer holiday and will be turned out to grass in the next few weeks. We will have a small number to run during the summer but will be building up the team for the winter.
Here’s to a successful 2021/2022 season.
