Two Winners In Two Days
It was great to get a couple winners last week with Dash Of Blue winning well at Southwell under a positive ride from Daryl Jacob for the Bluebuyu Partnership. He had run well on his previous start in a competive handicap hurdle so we were delighted he got his head in front.
Fern Hill followed with a win at Wetherby on Saturday on only his second start over hurdles, given a great ride by Kielan Woods to win convincingly for Sue Foran, John Harrison and Ray Cross. He looks to be a lovely prospect going forward and will be even better when he goes chasing.
Coded Message looked like she was going to make it 3 wins in row for us in the mares chase at Uttoxeter but unfortunately unseated at the second last fence. She is none the worse and will be out again soon.
Conceroe ran a creditable race in the Listed bumper at Cheltenham on Sunday to finish 5th, this was following his win at Warwick. He was only beaten 5 lengths on ground that had gone against him. He was not disgraced and will now have a short break before running again in the Spring.
Kings Temptation and Kielan Woods thoroughtly enjoyed their first attempt at the cross country course at Cheltenham on Friday to finish 6th. He is now off on his well deserved winter holiday following a busy summer with 3 wins on the bounce at Uttoxeter.
Hugo’s Reflection ran well at Southwell to finish 3rd under Daryl Jacob, he possibly didn’t quite stay the 3 mile trip. Shanty Alley ran well at Chepstow to finish 3rd and still remains very well handicapped, he needs to improve a little on his jumping which we will continue to work on but when it all clicks we will have a lot of fun with him. Silent Encore continues to run well and he too finished 3rd at Lingfield.
Wisecracker heads to Fakenham tomorrow for his last run of the season before his winter break. He has run consistantly well to be placed in all his starts to date.
Entries for the remainder of the week include Felton Bellevue, Midnightreflection, Princess Roxy and Gazette Bourgeoise.
